The Jump Start Puppy Program is based on the latest scientific research and principles of animal learning theory. I combine the science with “marker” and “rewards based” training. The program consists of three phases of (minimum) three hours of instruction with each phase. It’s a minimum of nine hours of instruction, ideally taking place over a period of five weeks.
Phase 1, teaches your puppy how to learn by association. You will learn how to effectively communicate with your puppy in a way that is meaningful and that your puppy can understand. You will also learn how to show yourself to be an effective and trustworthy canine leader to your pup. Phase 1 consists of three one hour sessions performed three days in a row.
Phase 2, Inside Obedience teaches skills like sit, down, stay, place, come, break, leave it, drop it, eye contact, not jumping, not door dashing, and others. Phase 2 consists of six sessions of approximately 30-45 minutes every other day for two weeks.
Phase 3, Outside Obedience reinforces the inside obedience skills outside the house along with leash training. Phase 3 consists of six sessions of approximately 30-45 minutes every other day for two weeks.
